This position is available during fall semesters of 2019. 

The Massachusetts Alternative Septic System Test Center is seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern for Fall, 2019. Applications for the Fall 2019 semester are due by August 15, 2019.

Assist in development of outreach/education and marketing materials for the Massachusetts Alternative Septic System Test Center (MASSTC).  Assist in increasing the public visibility of MASSTC via web/social media.

Specific projects may include but are not limited to: Completion and launch of new MASSTC website; Development of “one-pager” and/or other materials to provide public officials, engineers, clients, etc.,; Development of trade show booth materials (i.e, poster boards, handouts, promotional items).

Hours: Flexible

Required skills:

  • Strong writing skills required.
  • Graphic design experience highly desirable.

Education level: Open to all juniors, seniors and graduate students currently enrolled at an accredited college or university with a degree complete or in the process for Marketing, Business, Communications, or related discipline.

What can you expect to gain from this internship? By the end of the semester, you will have learned about the exciting and cutting-edge world of on-site/decentralized wastewater treatment.  Gain experience in relevant web/graphic design software packages.
